A Non – Traditional Irish Wedding
“What day is it?” asked Pooh.
“It’s today” squeaked Piglet.
“My favourite day” said Pooh.
The quote inspired by the stories of Winnie the Pooh and his close friend Pigklet. That was the inspiration for Judy’s and Shane’s wedding. As a matter of fact Shane is the Winnie the Pooh generally kind and friendly towards everyone; he is also very childlike and likeable. Judy is the Piglet, creative with a massively passionate side to him. When the situation truly calls for it, Judy, has been pivotal to solving their problems on various occasions.
What made this wedding non traditional. The absence of must. Most of the couples concentrate to what they must do for their wedding. Traditions is one of those things. I am in the pleasant position to organise destination weddings with mixed couples as a wedding planner. I am delightful when I see couples skipping traditional wedding elements. Not only they are free to plan their wedding the way they wish but also highlight their personalities.
The symbolic wedding ceremony was very touching especially by the time the couple exchange their wedding vows. Besides that, there were funny moments during their friend’s readings.
After the ceremony couple welcomed their guests with champagne, balloons and live swing music. The dance began before dinner, regardless of the schedule of the day. The wedding cake was served at the beach of Ekies All Senses Resort , with the guests enjoying the dawn of the new day.
A really beautiful wedding with no traditions!
