A wedding destination

Alonnisos is the third member of Sporades island, after Skiathos and Skopelos.  A blissful landscape for alternative couples, that like adventure more instead of nightlife.

Lovely churches and beautiful chapels make up the perfect scenery for weddings. Besides that, the lovely natural surroundings is an idyllic place for couples.  Not only they can celebrate their wedding,  but also renew their wedding vows. Moreover, the island is magnificent for honeymooners. Well-organized facilities and experienced professionals create all the essentials for a  happy destination wedding!

The landscape is imaginary for long walks in nature and local forests. You must visit the bays found on the island. Enjoy the sunset from Kalovoulos Mountain and swim in the crystal blue sea to refresh yourself.  Visit different villages every day,  they fascinate all visitors. The traditional architecture blends beautifully with natural surroundings and local hospitality. Alonissos.gr

Patitiri village is the beautiful central harbour and the capital of the island. Τhe village took its name from the time of the cultivation of the vineyards. It was the most important wealth of the local population.

The Old Village of Alonissos

is a mix of narrow streets and steep stairs; climbing vines and flower gardens surround local stone-built houses. Located in a privileged part of the island, the view from the Old Village is fantastic. The Old Village (Chora) was the capital of the island. Nowadays, it’s a place with remarkable architectural monuments, such as the medieval castle overlooking the Aegean Sea.

Visit the National Marine Park of Alonnisos.  It was the first Marine Park established in Greece. It is currently the largest marine protected area in Europe. Founded in 2003, the benefit of the park was its protection of species at risk of their extinction. Species like goats, birds, reptiles and fish which are rich in their abundance and variety.
